The system will allow Dr. Pope and staff to evaluate your skin like never before using state-of-the-art scanning and photo technology. Once completed, we’ll use the data to develop a highly specific and personalized skincare and treatment plan for your skin’s characteristics.
The Visia Complexion Analysis System is renowned for its ability to determine not only the amount of actinic or sun damage you may have, but also the degree of wrinkling and the amount of porphyrin in the skin (from bacteria), the amount of redness from blood vessels, as well as assessing skin pore size and additional factors important to your overall skin health and appearance.
Best of all, we’ll be able to track your progress over time. Using high-resolution photography, 3D renderings, and UV fluorescence imaging at the start of your analysis, we will later superimpose those images under your latest photos to see comparable zones on the face to determine efficacy of treatment! Then, we’ll see how your skin compares to the general population in the system’s database. Pretty amazing, right?
According to the manufacturer’s website, the Visia system uses advanced technology that “… offers quantitative values for skin features that previously could only be evaluated subjectively.”
