Skincare for the Summer

Summer’s here and once again it may be time to assess your skin care routine. Simple care can go a long way in maintaining healthy skin and preserving your beauty.

So how will you keep your face looking young and fresh?

Here are three simple steps to do so:

  1. Exfoliate: So important and yet something that most people don’t do on a regular frequency. Exfoliation opens pores and should be done at least two times per week.
  2. Moisturize: Use a moisturizer which hydrates your skin and keeps it soft  year long.
  3. Use sun-protection: A moisturizer with SPF 15 is a good way to protect your skin from sun damage. Apply it at least 30 minutes before going outside to get optimal protection.

The above steps will protect your skin against premature wrinkles. And of course cosmetic treatments like Botox and facial peels can also help reduce wrinkles and lines if you feel that it’s time to get some cosmetic intervention.

Be sure to consult with a board-certified physician when thinking of undergoing any cosmetic procedure.
