Brow Lift

In Orlando, a brow lift, also called a forehead lift, is a perfect procedure to invigorate the face and provide a more youthful appearance. Excess upper eyelid skin is not always the cause of a stern or worn out look; sometimes the forehead skin sags due to thinning and bone loss around the eyes. Dr. George Pope, a board-certified plastic surgeon with over 30 years of experience, incorporates his in-depth knowledge about facial aging to perform a personalized procedure that will help each patient look naturally refreshed.

What does a brow lift do?

Women and men who feel like they look older or more tired than they feel can be good candidates for a brow lift. Improvements include:

  • Raising heavy eyebrows that hang over the upper eyelids.
  • Smoothing out wrinkles on the forehead and between the eyebrows
  • Achieving symmetry when one eyebrow hangs lower than the other

Dr. Pope often combines brow lifts with other facial plastic surgery procedures like eyelid surgery or a facelift for a more complete rejuvenation.

How is brow lift surgery performed?

Dr. Pope performs most brow lifts as outpatient surgery using general anesthesia. He places incisions within the hairline where the scars will be hidden. Next, he modifies or removes parts of the muscles that cause the forehead wrinkling and frown lines, trims away excess skin, and lifts your eyebrows to a more youthful level.

What is recovery after a brow lift like?

Each patient’s recovery process is different, but the initial healing typically takes from 10 to 14 days. Regular activity and work can resume about 2 weeks after surgery in most cases.
